How do I cancel a Shortmax subscription on Google Play?

Answer

Cancel Shortmax in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. If Shortmax is not listed, check Apple subscriptions, PayPal, or the card statement for the billing source, then cancel there.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Only manage subscriptions in the official Play Store or the store that billed you.

Follow these steps

  1. Open Play subscriptions

Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

You should see: A list of active subscriptions appears.

  2. Cancel Shortmax

Select Shortmax, tap Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts until Google confirms cancellation.

You should see: Shortmax shows as canceled or set to end after the current period.

  3. If Shortmax is missing

Search the same Play account’s subscription list again, then check PayPal, your card statement merchant name, and iPhone Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions if an Apple device was also used.

You should see: You find the real billing source and cancel there.

  4. Confirm no new charge

Watch the next billing date on the statement. If another Shortmax charge posts after canceling, use Play’s request refund option for that purchase when eligible.

You should see: Renewals stop, or you have a refund request started for a post-cancel charge.
