How do I set tax rates correctly on a Casio cash register?

Enter program mode

Select tax table 1, 2, or 3 according to which table your items use. If you are unsure, check a sample department’s tax assignment in the manual or current programming sheet.
You should see: The register is editing the intended tax table.
Enter the tax rate
Enter the tax rate with the decimal point, for example 8.25 for 8.25%. Confirm the display shows the rate you intended before finalizing.
You should see: The displayed rate matches your local tax percentage.
Finish the programming sequence
Complete the finalize keys your model requires. On many Casio registers this includes entering 5002 and then pressing CA/AMT TEND. If your manual lists a different end sequence for that model, use the manual’s keys instead.
You should see: The register accepts the program entry without E01, or prints/displays a confirmation.
Test a sale and fix E01 if it returns
Return the key to REG and ring a small test item assigned to that tax table. If E01 appears again during programming, start over in PGM and enter keys slowly in order—E01 often means an illegal key in the current mode.
You should see: The test sale shows the correct tax amount, or you know the sequence must be matched to your exact Casio model manual.
