How do I fix an iPhone that will not accept the Apple ID password?

Follow these steps
Check Apple system status
On another device or browser, open Apple’s System Status page and confirm Apple ID, iCloud, and Account Authentication are not listed with an outage.

Stabilize the network and restart
Turn off any VPN or security app that filters traffic, confirm Wi-Fi or cellular is working, then restart the iPhone and try the Apple ID password again.

Use Forgot Password if needed
