How do I see who called a phone on a specific day?

Answer

Start with the phone’s built-in call history or caller list for that day. If the day is no longer on the device, check the wireless carrier’s online call detail for the number. On some cordless bases, recent calls are under Caller List or Call Log using the handset or base menus.

Follow these steps

  1. Check the phone’s call history for that day

Open the Phone app and go to Recents or Call history. Scroll to the date you need and note numbers, times, and missed versus answered calls.

You should see: You see a same-day list of callers, or you confirm the day is no longer stored on the phone.

  2. Check a cordless base Caller List if that is the phone

On a cordless system, open Caller List or Call Log from the handset or base menu (arrow keys on some models). Scroll to the date and write down the numbers shown.

You should see: The base or handset shows stored caller entries for that day, if still available.

  3. Pull carrier call detail when the device list is incomplete

Sign in to the wireless carrier account that owns the number. Open Usage, Billing, or Call details and view or download the history for that date.

You should see: You have a carrier-side list of incoming calls for the day.

  4. Save what you need

Screenshot or write down the numbers and times, or save the carrier PDF/CSV. Do not clear call history until you have a copy.

You should see: You have a reusable record of who called that day.

Extra tips

What to look for: Recents, Call history, or Caller List on the phone or base, the exact date filter if available, and carrier Usage or Call details online if the device list is incomplete.

Before you change anything: Confirm the phone number and the calendar date you need. Do not factory-reset the phone while looking for call history. Use the official carrier site if you need a longer history. Never share account codes with unexpected callers.
