Check Find My last location
On another Apple device open Find My, or go to iCloud.com on a computer and open Find Devices. Select the missing iPhone and note the last location and timestamp. If it shows Offline, use the last pin as your starting search area.
You should see: You see a recent map location, an older last-seen pin, or a clear Offline status.
Search the last-seen area thoroughly
Search that room first: under and between sofa cushions, in bedding, laundry piles, coat pockets, bags, and under furniture. Feel with your hands; a dead phone will not light up or vibrate.
You should see: You either find the phone or rule out the most likely hiding spots near the last pin.
Try common charge and drop spots
Check nightstands, kitchen counters, car (if recently used), bathroom surfaces, and any cable that looks connected to nothing. Plug in chargers where the phone might already be sitting so it can power on if it is nearby but buried.

Widen the search and mark it Lost if needed
