How do I fix a NordicTrack spin bike console stuck on a blue arrow after moving?

Answer

After a move, this usually means the console did not finish a power-on reset or lost its normal startup sequence—not that the whole bike is dead. Power-cycle the bike, then use the hardware reset button (often with a paperclip) before trying the app again.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Unplug the bike before holding a reset button for a long time if the manual recommends that sequence; avoid forcing connectors.
  • A hardware reset can clear temporary console settings; note any custom preferences before resetting if your model warns about this.

Follow these steps

  1. Fully power off the bike

Turn the bike off if it has a switch, then unplug the power cord from the wall and from the bike if possible. Wait at least 60 seconds so the console fully loses power.

You should see: The console goes completely dark with no residual image.

  2. Reconnect power and watch startup

Plug the bike back in, restore power, and watch whether the console moves past the blue arrow into a normal home or iFIT screen.

You should see: The console either boots normally or returns to the same stuck blue-arrow screen.

  3. Use the hardware reset button

If still stuck, use a paperclip to press and hold the recessed reset button for about 10–15 seconds, then release and wait for the console to restart. Follow any on-screen prompts only if they are part of the bike’s normal setup.

You should see: The console restarts and either loads the home screen or shows a clearer error message.

  4. Retry app pairing only after the console works

Once the console shows a normal screen, open the official bike/iFIT app and try pairing again. If the console is still stuck, pause app troubleshooting—pairing will not fix a frozen startup screen.

You should see: Pairing options appear only when the bike console is responsive.

  5. Check for codes or support next steps

If the blue arrow remains after power-cycle and reset, write down any codes or icons still on screen and contact NordicTrack/iFIT support with the model and what you already tried.

You should see: You have a clear description for support, or the console has recovered enough to use.

Extra tips

What to look for: A blue arrow with a reset control that does not respond to taps, any error codes or unusual messages, and whether the console has power but never reaches the normal workout home screen.

Before you change anything: Confirm the power cord is firmly seated in the wall and the bike. Note any error codes before resetting. Have a paperclip or similar tool ready if the reset hole is recessed. Do not force the pedals or console screen while power is cycling.
