How do I pair an iPhone with a Marshall MA510 speaker?

Answer

Most pairing failures happen because another phone is still connected, or the MA510 is not in pairing mode. Turn Bluetooth off on nearby previously paired devices, power the speaker off and on, then put it in Bluetooth pairing mode and connect from the iPhone Bluetooth list.

Follow these steps

  1. Disconnect nearby paired devices

On any phone or tablet that previously used the MA510, turn Bluetooth off or forget the speaker so it cannot reconnect automatically.

You should see: Only your current iPhone is trying to connect.

  2. Restart the speaker

Power the MA510 fully off, wait a few seconds, then power it back on. Switch to Bluetooth mode with the Bluetooth or source button if needed.

You should see: The speaker is on and ready for a new Bluetooth connection.

  3. Pair from iPhone Bluetooth settings

On the iPhone, open Settings > Bluetooth, wait for the MA510 to appear, then tap it to connect.

You should see: The speaker shows as Connected and audio plays through it.

  4. Forget and re-pair if it still fails

If pairing still fails, tap the info button next to the MA510 in Bluetooth settings, choose Forget This Device, then repeat the speaker restart and pairing steps.

You should see: A clean pairing session starts and the speaker connects.

Extra tips

What to look for: Whether the MA510 display or source button shows Bluetooth mode, and whether the speaker still appears as Connected on another phone.

Before you change anything: Confirm the speaker model is MA510 (or the matching Marshall model you own). Note any other phones or tablets that previously paired with it. Keep the speaker plugged in or charged during pairing. Never share Apple ID passwords or one-time codes with unexpected callers.
