How do I reset a hose timer hub that says it is already set up?

Answer

Power-cycle the hub, then use the manufacturer’s reset process so the hub leaves the old home account. After reset, reopen the phone app and add the hub again on the new Wi‑Fi network.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Resetting a hub usually erases previous watering schedules.
  • Only download the brand’s official app from the major app stores.

Follow these steps

  1. Power-cycle the hub

Unplug the HUB101 or equivalent hose hub for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for it to finish restarting.

You should see: The hub lights return to a normal ready or pairing pattern.

  2. Reset the hub with the brand instructions

Use the manufacturer’s reset method for an already-configured hub, often a reset button or button hold described in the manual or official app help.

You should see: The hub enters setup or pairing mode again.

  3. Remove the old device from the app if listed

In the phone app, delete or remove the old hub entry if it still appears under the previous home or account.

You should see: The old hub record is cleared so a new setup can start.

  4. Add the hub on the current Wi‑Fi

Reopen the official app, choose add device, and complete setup on the current 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network if the product requires it.

You should see: The hub joins the new phone and network without the already-set-up error.

Extra tips

What to look for: An already set up or contact support message in the app, hub status lights, and whether the hub still belongs to an old account

Before you change anything: Confirm the hub model, such as HUB101. Know which phone app the brand uses. Resetting may remove old schedules from the hub. Use the official app, not a random QR landing page.
