Why doesn’t Yahoo ask security questions when I reset my password?

Follow these steps
Start in a private browser
Open Safari in Private mode and go to Yahoo’s official login/forgot page.
You should see: The recovery screen loads without old cached errors.
Enter the Yahoo address
Enter the full Yahoo email and continue to the recovery options Yahoo displays.
You should see: You see SMS, backup email, or other options—not necessarily security questions.
Use backup email if SMS is blocked
Choose the backup email option, open that inbox, and use only the newest code.
You should see: A recovery code arrives by email and unlocks the reset.
Wait before retrying SMS
If SMS is rate-limited, wait several hours before requesting another text code.
You should see: SMS codes become available again later.
