Why is there no service after switching from Jitterbug back to an iPhone on Verizon?
Answer
Number transfers away from Jitterbug/Lively can take time to finish provisioning on Verizon. Until the line and SIM or eSIM are fully active on the iPhone, No Service and call failures are common.
Follow these steps
Confirm the cellular line is enabled
On the iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular and make sure the Verizon line is turned on.
You should see: The line switch is enabled for that plan.
Compare ICCID values if two phones are involved
Go to Settings > General > About and note the ICCID. Confirm with Verizon that this matches the SIM or eSIM assigned after the transfer.
You should see: The iPhone is using the provisioned Verizon identity, or a mismatch is found.
Refresh the network connection
Toggle Airplane mode for 30 seconds, restart the iPhone, and test a call again.
You should see: Signal appears, or No Service continues after the refresh.
Check Messages addressing
Open Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and confirm the correct phone number is selected once service returns.
You should see: iMessage and SMS use the restored Verizon number.
Ask Verizon to finish provisioning
If No Service remains after the expected waiting window, contact Verizon support and ask them to refresh or complete provisioning for the transferred line.
You should see: Verizon completes the transfer and the iPhone registers on the network.

Extra tips
What to look for: No Service on the iPhone, calls that cannot be completed as dialed, and a recent transfer from Jitterbug/Lively back to Verizon
Before you change anything: Keep the old Jitterbug available until the iPhone is confirmed working. Note that transfers can take up to about 24 hours. Use official Verizon account tools for SIM/eSIM changes. Avoid third-party unlock sites.
