How do I change the date on a Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle CPAP machine?

Answer

Many SleepStyle units do not let patients set the clock directly; the date and time usually sync from the companion phone app over Bluetooth after the device and phone reconnect.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Do not change prescribed therapy pressure or mode settings while looking for the clock.

Follow these steps

  1. Recheck the device menus

On the SleepStyle, open the available menus and look for Clock, Time, Date, or Device Settings. If those options are missing, the date is likely app-synced rather than patient-set.

You should see: You confirm whether a local date setting exists on this model.

  2. Power-cycle the SleepStyle

Unplug the SleepStyle from power for about one minute, plug it back in, and let it fully start before trying to sync again.

You should see: The machine restarts cleanly and is ready to reconnect.

  3. Refresh Bluetooth on the phone

On the paired phone, turn Bluetooth off and back on, then reopen the official SleepStyle app and connect to the device.

You should see: The app shows the device connected or begins a sync.

  4. Sync and verify the date

Complete any sync prompted by the app, then check whether the device or app now shows the correct date and time from the phone.

You should see: The date matches the phone, or support documentation is needed for clinician-only settings.

Extra tips

What to look for: Missing Set date controls on the device, Bluetooth pairing status, and any sync or date prompts in the SleepStyle phone app

Before you change anything: Confirm the exact SleepStyle model name on the device label. Charge or plug in the machine before troubleshooting. Use only the official Fisher & Paykel app for sync. Do not change clinical therapy settings unless your clinician directed it.
