How do I fix a Uvlizer that will not light and clicks, blinks, or beeps?

Answer

Unplug the Uvlizer for a full minute, then plug it directly into a different wall outlet—not a power strip. If the power button still blinks, beeps, or clicks without lighting, stop using the unit and contact the seller or manufacturer; persistent fault lights often mean a power or internal failure.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Unplug immediately if you smell burning, see smoke, or the plug/outlet feels hot.
  • Do not open the case or bypass lid interlocks; UV and high-voltage parts can be hazardous.

Follow these steps

  1. Power-reset on a different outlet

Unplug the unit for 1 full minute, then plug it directly into a different wall outlet, not a power strip or extension cord. Power it on and listen for normal startup.

You should see: The unit powers on without constant blinking, beeping, or clicking, or the fault behavior is unchanged and clearer.

  2. Note lights and sounds

Watch the power button and any display for blink patterns, error codes, or repeated beeps, and write down exactly what happens when you press power.

You should see: You have a short description of the blink/beep pattern to give support.

  3. Check for safety interlocks

Confirm the lid or chamber is fully closed if your model requires that for UV to start. Do not defeat door switches.

You should see: Either the cycle starts when closed properly, or the same fault continues with the lid secured.

  4. Stop and use warranty support

If the unit still will not light and keeps blinking, beeping, or clicking, unplug it and contact the manufacturer or seller with your model and the fault pattern. Do not keep cycling a unit that may have an internal power fault.

You should see: You have a support or warranty path and the device stays unplugged until replaced or repaired.

Extra tips

What to look for: Blinking power light, beep codes, clicking from inside the unit, and whether any error code appears on a display if your model has one.

Before you change anything: Unplug the unit before moving or inspecting it. Use a different wall outlet you know works with another device. Do not open the housing or bypass safety interlocks. Keep purchase or warranty details nearby if the fault continues.
