How do I cancel a personal Peacock plan so I can use Spectrum’s included Peacock?
Answer
Cancel or stop the direct Peacock subscription in Peacock’s Plans & Payments, then activate Peacock again using your Spectrum benefit. If the app only shows “Upgrade,” you are often still on the personal plan instead of the Spectrum-managed entitlement.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Cancel only the standalone Peacock subscription; canceling Spectrum itself can remove TV and internet service.
- Use official Peacock and Spectrum sites or apps only—ignore popups that ask for payment to unlock an account.
Follow these steps
Sign in to the Peacock account
On a computer or phone, go to the official Peacock website and sign in with the email used for the personal subscription.
You should see: You reach your Peacock account dashboard.
Open Plans & Payments
Open Account, then Plans & Payments (wording may vary slightly). Check whether it shows a regular Peacock plan or says billing is managed through Spectrum or another provider.
You should see: You can tell if a direct Peacock plan is still active.
Cancel the personal Peacock plan
If a direct Peacock subscription is listed, follow Peacock’s cancel or turn-off auto-renew steps for that plan and confirm the cancellation. Keep Spectrum service unchanged.
You should see: Peacock confirms the personal plan will end or has ended.
Activate Peacock through Spectrum
Sign out of Peacock on your TV or apps, then use Spectrum’s official Peacock activation or sign-in with TV provider option tied to your Spectrum account.
You should see: Peacock opens under the Spectrum benefit without asking you to buy a new personal Upgrade plan.
Retry on the TV box if Upgrade still appears
If the TV still shows Upgrade, sign out, restart the streaming box, and sign in again with the Spectrum-linked method rather than the old Peacock email alone.
You should see: The Upgrade prompt is gone or clearly replaced by Spectrum-managed access.

Extra tips
What to look for: In Peacock Account > Plans & Payments, whether it shows a regular Peacock plan, an Upgrade prompt, or billing managed through Spectrum
Before you change anything: Confirm Peacock is included on your current Spectrum package. Note the email used for the old Peacock subscription and the Spectrum account email. Cancel only the personal Peacock plan you no longer want—do not cancel Spectrum TV service by mistake. Never share passwords or codes with unexpected callers.
