How do I reconnect Netflix on a smart TV after it asks to join again?
Answer
Restart the TV, reopen Netflix, and sign in with the existing Netflix email and password or a TV sign-in code from Netflix.com/tv1.
Follow these steps
Confirm the membership on another device
On a phone or computer, open Netflix and confirm the account still streams normally with your usual email.
You should see: The membership is active, or you discover an account billing issue first.
Restart the TV
Turn the TV off at the power outlet for about 30 seconds, turn it back on, then open the Netflix app again.
You should see: Netflix relaunches cleanly and shows Sign In or Get Started.
Sign in to the existing account
Choose Sign In and enter your Netflix email and password, or open Netflix.com/tv1 on a phone and enter the code shown on the TV.
You should see: The TV returns to your Netflix profiles and titles.
Reinstall the app only if sign-in fails
If the app still will not accept the account, uninstall and reinstall Netflix from the TV's app store, then sign in again.
You should see: Netflix reconnects to the existing membership on the TV.

Extra tips
What to look for: A Get Started or Join prompt on the TV Netflix app, and whether other devices still stream on the same membership
Before you change anything: Confirm your Netflix email and password on a phone or computer first. Do not start a second paid membership unless you intend to. Restart the TV before reinstalling apps. Never share your Netflix password with unexpected callers.
