Why is my Toshiba TV stuck on one channel and the menus will not open?

Follow these steps
Fully power-cycle the TV
Unplug the Toshiba from the wall outlet, wait a full 5 minutes, then plug it directly into the wall and turn it on.
You should see: Menus or channel controls respond again, or the freeze returns the same way.
Test the remote and panel buttons
Replace remote batteries if needed, point directly at the TV, and also try the physical buttons on the TV for volume, input, or menu.

Disconnect external boxes temporarily
