Why is the zoom slider grayed out in Emeet Studio for an Emeet Pixy webcam?
Answer
A grayed-out Pixy zoom control usually means the app has not taken exclusive control of the camera, the USB connection needs a refresh, or zoom is unavailable in the current capture mode.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Download Emeet Studio only from the manufacturer’s official site.
Follow these steps
Close other apps using the camera
Quit Zoom, web browsers, and any other app that might be using the Pixy, then return to Emeet Studio alone.
You should see: Emeet Studio is the only app holding the camera.
Unplug and reconnect the Pixy
Unplug the Pixy for about 10 seconds, reconnect it to a direct USB port, and wait for the computer to recognize it.
You should see: The camera reappears in Emeet Studio.
Retest the zoom slider
Open Emeet Studio, select the Pixy, and try the zoom slider again.
You should see: The slider becomes active and changes the preview.
Set Zoom to use the Pixy after Studio control
If Zoom still cannot adjust the camera, apply the desired zoom in Emeet Studio first if the software supports that workflow, or check Zoom video settings for the Pixy device selection.
You should see: Meeting apps show the Pixy image with the intended framing.
