Why won’t Google Play save my new credit card?
Answer
Enter the card number without spaces, match the billing ZIP to the bank address, and add the card in Google Play or payments.google.com while signed into the correct Google account. Banks sometimes block first-time digital wallet authorizations until you approve them.

- Never send your full card number to someone who messages you offering to fix Play billing.
Follow these steps
Enter the number cleanly
Open Google Play > profile > Payments & subscriptions > Payment methods and enter the card number with no spaces.
You should see: The form accepts the number format.
Match the billing ZIP
Enter the billing ZIP/postal code exactly as the bank has it on the card statement address.
You should see: Address verification passes or a clearer bank error appears.
Try payments.google.com
On the phone browser, open payments.google.com, sign in, and add or edit the card there.
You should see: The card saves and then appears in Google Play.
Approve a bank alert if needed
Check bank SMS/app for a blocked first authorization and approve it, then retry saving.
You should see: The card remains on the Google account.
