Why won’t WhatsApp open or finish sign-in on Android?

Follow these steps
Confirm what the app is asking for
Open WhatsApp and note whether it crashes immediately, asks for a phone-number SMS code, or says it sent an email. That tells you whether this is an app crash or a verification-delivery problem.

Check email delivery for verification messages
If WhatsApp says it emailed you, search the inbox and spam/junk folders for messages from WhatsApp, confirm you are checking the address shown on screen, and request a new email from the app after a few minutes.

Retry with SMS to the registered number

Update or reinstall the official app
