How do I fix Disney+ stuck on the logo on a Sony Bravia TV?

Answer

When Disney+ stays on the logo with no error, the usual fixes are a full power cycle of the Bravia, force-stopping or clearing the Disney+ app cache, then reopening the app on a working home Wi-Fi connection. If it still hangs, update or reinstall Disney+ from the Google Play Store on the TV.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Clearing app data or reinstalling Disney+ usually signs you out of the app on that TV.

Follow these steps

  1. Power-cycle the Bravia

Exit Disney+, then unplug the Sony Bravia from power for about one minute. Plug it back in, wait for the home screen, and try Disney+ again.

You should see: Disney+ either loads normally or still sticks in the same way, which tells you a deeper app reset is needed.

  2. Force stop Disney+

On the Bravia, open Settings, then Apps or Application management. Select Disney+, choose Force stop, then open Disney+ again from the home screen.

You should see: The app launches cleanly or returns to the same stuck logo with no password prompts from unknown sources.

  3. Clear Disney+ cache or data

In the Disney+ app info screen, clear Cache first. If it still hangs, clear Storage or Data (you may need to sign in again), then reopen Disney+.

You should see: Disney+ progresses past the logo to the sign-in or home screen.

  4. Update or reinstall Disney+

Open Google Play Store on the TV, search for Disney+, and update it. If there is no update, uninstall Disney+, restart the TV, reinstall from Play Store, and sign in again.

You should see: Disney+ installs or updates successfully and loads the browse or home screen.

Extra tips

What to look for: Disney+ stuck on its logo or splash screen with no error text, plus whether other streaming apps still work on the same Bravia.

Before you change anything: Confirm the TV is connected to Wi-Fi and other apps can stream. Note whether Disney+ shows only the logo with no error code. Prefer force stop or clear cache before removing the app if you want to keep the signed-in session longer. Never share your Disney+ password with unexpected callers.
