How do I reset a Disney+ password on a Sharp smart TV?
Answer
Reset the Disney account password on a phone or computer at disneyplus.com or the Disney account site, then return to the Sharp TV Disney+ app and sign in with the new password. If the TV app still fails after a successful web reset, reinstall or update the Disney+ app on the TV.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Only enter a new Disney password on official Disney or Disney+ pages—not on sites reached from unexpected emails or popups.
Follow these steps
Reset the password on Disney’s website
On a phone or computer, go to disneyplus.com (or the Disney account sign-in page), choose the forgot-password / Having trouble logging in? path, and complete the reset with the email code Disney sends.
You should see: Disney accepts a new password for the account, or clearly says the reset email was sent.
Sign in again on the Sharp TV
Open the Disney+ app on the Sharp TV and sign in with the email and the new password. Use the TV’s on-screen keyboard carefully to avoid typos.
You should see: Disney+ signs in and shows the home screen, or shows a new specific error.
Update or reinstall the Disney+ app
If the new password works on a phone but not on the TV, open the TV’s app store, update Disney+, or uninstall and reinstall it, then sign in again.
You should see: The TV app is current and accepts the same credentials that work elsewhere.
Restart the TV once after reinstall
Fully power off or unplug the Sharp TV for about 60 seconds, plug it back in, then open Disney+ and sign in once more.
You should see: The app loads cleanly and streaming starts with the reset account.

Extra tips
What to look for: Messages such as Having trouble logging in?, password reset email links from Disney, and whether the same Disney+ account works on a phone or browser.
Before you change anything: Confirm the exact Disney+ email address used on the TV. Use disneyplus.com or the official Disney account pages—not links from unexpected emails. Have access to the recovery email or phone for that Disney account. Never share the new password or one-time codes with unexpected callers.
