How do I fix Paramount+ when I cannot resubscribe after canceling?
Answer
Sign in on the Paramount+ website first and check whether the old account still shows canceled but active. Then review Google Play subscriptions and remove or update the saved payment method before trying again.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Canceling again while a payment is pending can leave the account in a stuck billing state.
Follow these steps
Sign in on the website
Open Paramount+ in a web browser (not the app) and sign in with the same email you used before.
You should see: You reach the account or subscription page for that email.
Check canceled-but-active status
Look for a status that says canceled, ending soon, or active until a date. If access is still running, wait until that date or use the resume/restart option shown there.
You should see: You can tell whether the old plan is still active and blocking a new signup.
Review Google Play subscriptions
On Android, open the Play Store, go to your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and find Paramount+ if listed.
You should see: You see whether Play still shows a Paramount+ subscription or a payment problem.
Update or remove the saved card
In Play payment methods, update the card or remove a failed saved card, then return to Paramount+ and try Subscribe again from the website or app.
You should see: Checkout accepts the payment method, or you get a clear new error instead of a silent block.

Extra tips
What to look for: A blocked checkout message in the Paramount+ app or Play Store, and an account status that still shows canceled, active until a date, or a payment error.
Before you change anything: Confirm the email used for the old Paramount+ account. Prefer the Paramount+ website over the mobile app for the first retry. Have access to the Google account that paid through Play Store if that is how you subscribed. Never share account passwords or one-time codes with unexpected callers.
