Follow these steps
Unplug and cool the grill
Unplug the pellet grill from power and make sure the firepot, hopper, and grill body are completely cool before you continue.
You should see: The grill is powered off, cool to the touch, and safe to open.
Empty chips, pellets, and fines
Remove every bit of wood chips and pellets you can reach. Vacuum the hopper, feed opening, and loose fines thoroughly so leftover chips cannot re-enter the auger.
You should see: The hopper and visible feed path look empty, with no packed chip clumps left in sight.
Open the auger access area
Remove the access panel so you can see the auger motor and auger shaft. Check the auger entrance for packed chips or debris that a surface clean would miss.
You should see: You can see whether the auger throat or shaft is still jammed.
Clear the remaining jam by hand
With power still unplugged, carefully remove packed chips and debris from the auger entrance and around the shaft. Do not bend or pry the shaft hard enough to damage the motor coupling.
You should see: The auger can be turned slightly by hand or looks free of packed material.
Reassemble and test with pellets only
Reinstall the access panel, add a small amount of proper wood pellets only, plug the grill back in, and run the auger or feed function from the control panel.
