How do I fix a Superbox black screen that still shows channel info?
Answer
This usually means the set-top box lost a valid stream or network token, not a dead TV panel. Power-cycle the Superbox, confirm the TV menu and other inputs still work, then force-stop and clear the streaming app’s cache if the black screen returns.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Clearing app data can sign you out of the streaming app; have your account details ready.
- Stop if a popup asks you to pay an unexpected fee or install unknown software to restore channels.
Follow these steps
Rule out the TV itself
Open the TV’s own settings menu or switch to another HDMI input or built-in app. Confirm whether the TV can show a normal picture outside the Superbox.
You should see: You know whether the black screen is limited to the Superbox stream or affects the whole TV.
Power-cycle the Superbox
Unplug the Superbox from power for about 60 seconds, plug it back in, and wait until it fully reloads before opening a channel again.
You should see: The box restarts cleanly and either restores video/audio or shows a clearer error.
Power-cycle the TV path
If the picture is still black, unplug the TV from power for 60 seconds as well, then plug the TV and Superbox back in and reselect the correct HDMI input.
You should see: The HDMI handshake refreshes and the Superbox output is selected again.
Force stop the streaming app
On the Superbox, open Settings, Apps (or Apps & notifications), select the Superbox/streaming app, tap Force Stop, then open Storage.
You should see: You see storage options such as Clear cache or Clear data for that app.
Clear cache, then retry a channel
Clear Cache first. Reopen a channel. If the black screen returns with a token or network error, clear data for that app and sign in again only through the official app screens.
You should see: Picture and sound return, or the error changes enough to identify a network or account issue.

Extra tips
What to look for: Black video with no audio, channel text still visible at the bottom, and any message such as Token network error or unusual on-screen codes.
Before you change anything: Confirm whether the TV’s own menus and other HDMI inputs still show a picture. Note any exact error text before clearing app data. Unplug only the Superbox and TV power cords—avoid random paid “unlock” sites. Never share account passwords from unexpected popups.
