How do I re-pair Minelab ML-85 headphones to an X-Terra Pro?
Answer
Turn both the X-Terra Pro and ML-85 completely off, put the headphones back into pairing mode with the red-and-blue flash, then power the detector on and complete pairing from the detector’s wireless audio settings.
Follow these steps
Power both units off
Turn the X-Terra Pro completely off, then turn the ML-85 headphones off.
You should see: Both devices are fully powered down.
Restart headphones in pairing mode
Turn the ML-85 back on and place them in pairing mode so the light flashes red and blue.
You should see: The headphones are discoverable again.
Power on the detector and pair
Turn the X-Terra Pro on, open its wireless or audio pairing options, and select the ML-85.
You should see: The detector connects and detector audio plays in the headphones.
Repeat a clean restart if pairing stalls
If pairing stays on attempting to pair, turn both units off again, move them closer, and repeat the pairing sequence once more.
You should see: Pairing completes, or the failure points to hardware service or official Minelab support.

Extra tips
What to look for: Red and blue flashing on the ML-85, wireless audio menus on the X-Terra Pro, and whether any other wireless headphones are already connected
Before you change anything: Charge or install fresh batteries in both units if needed. Keep the headphones close to the detector during pairing. Turn off other nearby wireless headphones that might steal the connection. Use Minelab’s official pairing order when available in the manual.
