Extra tips
What to look for: An orange setup light on the Dot, the device appearing in the Alexa app setup list, and whether your router uses separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz names.
Before you change anything: Know your Wi-Fi name and password. Prefer the 2.4 GHz network if your router splits bands. Install or update the Amazon Alexa app from the official app store. Place the Dot near the router during first setup.
