What can you do if a Walmart Marketplace TV arrives damaged?

Answer

Open a damaged-item return or claim with the Marketplace seller from the Walmart order page first, then escalate through Walmart Help if the seller refuses. Photograph the damage before discarding packaging.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Be cautious of anyone outside Walmart asking for remote access or fees to process a refund.

Follow these steps

  1. Confirm who sold the TV

Open Walmart account Orders, select the Hisense TV order, and note whether it says Marketplace and the seller name. Also note the return-by date.

You should see: You know the seller and whether Walmart or a Marketplace seller fulfilled the order.

  2. Start a damaged-item claim online

From the order, choose Return items or report a problem, select damaged in shipping, upload photos, and submit. Prefer pickup or prepaid label if carrying a large TV is difficult.

You should see: A return authorization, refund timeline, or claim case is created.

  3. Escalate if the seller refuses

If denied, use Walmart Help or chat from the order and explain the item arrived damaged and an in-store return is not available for Marketplace.

You should see: Walmart support reviews the case or offers a refund, replacement, or next step.

  4. Consider a payment dispute last

If support will not resolve a clearly damaged delivery, contact the card issuer used for the order about a billing dispute and provide the order number and photos.

You should see: The payment provider opens a dispute or explains eligibility.

Extra tips

What to look for: The order details show a Marketplace seller, the TV arrived damaged, and store staff say they cannot take it back.

Before you change anything: Photograph the damage, box, and packing materials. Keep the order number and seller name from the Walmart order page. Do not discard the TV or packaging until the claim outcome is clear.
