Why do hearing aids work only sometimes and make beeping sounds?

Start with a full charge on both aids, then power them off and on. Intermittent sound and beeps often mean low battery, pairing/status alerts, or a failing left-side aid that needs cleaning or service.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Do not open sealed hearing aids or use unapproved batteries/chargers.
Follow these steps
Fully charge both aids
Place both hearing aids in the charger until the full-charge indication appears for each side.
You should see: Both aids leave the charger ready to power on.
Power-cycle both aids
Turn both aids off, wait about 30 seconds, turn them back on, and listen for normal startup beeps only.
You should see: Both sides produce sound more consistently after restart.
Clean and reseat tips
Inspect and clean or replace domes and wax guards, then reseat each aid in the ear with a proper fit.
You should see: Volume is more stable and overload or dropouts decrease.
Document the left-side failure for service
If the left aid still fails after a verified full charge and cleaning, note charger-light behavior and contact your hearing provider for repair or replacement options.
