Why does a Bose SoundLink Revolve+ II keep scrolling a white light?
Answer
A continuously scrolling white light often means the speaker is stuck updating or recovering. Leave it plugged into a wall outlet undisturbed for 10–15 minutes, then try Bose’s official reset sequence again. If buttons never respond, the speaker may need Bose support.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Stop using a charger or cable that is damaged or overheating.
Follow these steps
Power-stabilize for recovery
Unplug the speaker for 30 seconds, plug it firmly into a wall outlet, then leave it powered for 10 to 15 minutes without pressing buttons in case a recovery or update is finishing.
You should see: The scrolling stops and normal power or Bluetooth lights return.
Retry the official reset once
If the speaker becomes responsive, follow Bose’s reset steps for your exact model from the official support page—usually a specific multi-button hold—then release and wait.
You should see: The speaker restarts into a normal pairing-ready state.
Re-add the speaker in Bose Music
Restart your Wi-Fi router if the model uses Wi-Fi features, open the Bose Music app, and add or select the speaker again from Products.
You should see: The app finds the speaker and control works from the phone.
Contact Bose if buttons never respond
If the white scroll continues and buttons never work after a long powered wait, contact Bose support with the model and serial number for warranty service options.
You should see: You have a repair or replacement path instead of endless reset attempts.

Extra tips
What to look for: A white light that continuously scrolls at the top of the speaker with little or no button response
Before you change anything: Use a known-good wall outlet and the official Bose charger/cable if possible. Do not hold random button combinations for long periods beyond the manual. Have the Bose Music app ready on your phone afterward. Note the exact speaker model from the bottom label.
